All the Magic of the Circus!
Circus Starr is the circus with a purpose. They bring all the fun of the circus to those who are disabled, vulnerable, and disadvantaged.
Did you know that nearly 1.5 million UK families can’t afford a single day out together? Circus Starr brings accessible and inclusive arts to those who usually miss out.
Earlier this year, our Community Cohesion grant made it possible for vulnerable and isolated children in East Brighton to come to a relaxed and inclusive winter variety show held at Brighton Girls School.
Two performances took place in January 2024, with the grant covering the cost of 37 of the 554 children and families who came, with funded tickets allocated to The Crew Club, Downs View School, The Sunflower Support Group, and many other organisations.
“When I say Isaac belly laughs, he really does. We try to attend social activities, but it can be very challenging for Isaac as he suffers huge anxiety, but once he’s settled in for your shows, I see the happiest boy come to life. I see him taking part, singing, and signing and I love to watch him roar with laughter so much that I end up missing half the show myself.”
