Knitting for fun at The Bridge

Posted on

Knitting For Fun is a club held at the Bridge Community Education Centre who get together to knit items to be sold in local charity shops. In June 2014, they successfully applied for funding from East Brighton Trust to help them buy knitting patterns, needles and wool and to cover the cost of transporting donated items to their distribution point (e.g. The Salvation Army). The knitting club is not only important in raising funds for good causes in the area but it also helps relieve social isolation amongst residents of Moulsecoomb and Bevendean by giving them a regular activity to attend.

They got in touch to say thanks for the grant and sent us some pictures of the items they've been making to raise funds. Aren't they cute!?
