A regular swim for Whitehawk's Aqua Seniors
Posted on
A letter that we received recently from the Aqua Seniors, a group of swimmers in Whitehawk:
Hi East Brighton Trust
We the Aqua Seniors wish to thank the East Brighton Trust for the funding they have given
us over the years.
We are a group of over 60s from Whitehawk who every Friday swim at the Prince Regent we hire the
Community Bus to take us there. We have been a group for at least 10 years.
Some of the members have had Cancer and strokes a few are diabetic but all able to swim which
makes them feel better and keep them moving exercising their legs and arms. When on the bus they
never stop talking it is bedlam sometimes but at least they get on so well together.
Christmas we always go out for a meal usually to Days in East Street.
We are grateful for the funding you have donated to us as the bus is quite expensive and the
entrance fees go up.
Regards
Anne Glow (Treasurer)
