On Friday 19th January, East Brighton Trust were delighted to initiate and chair the East Brighton Community Leaders’ Lunch. Hosted by Rector Will Leaf, the event took place at St Andrew’s Church, Bevendean, with guests enjoying an introduction from chair, Ty Goddard, some informal networking, and delicious food prepared by resident Carly North, a fabulous community cook, working with Jess Cork.
East Brighton is home to a huge breadth of talented and invested Leaders, and it was wonderful to welcome several community groups and organisations to the event to celebrate the incredible work that they do for the area. Those in attendance included representatives from local primary schools, food groups, community gardens, children’s charities, sports outreach programmes, local churches, and more.
At East Brighton Trust, we believe that when you bring communities of like-minded people together, wonderful things can happen.
“Our thanks to everyone who attended the East Brighton Leaders Lunch. As a group of organisations, the commitment and passion you demonstrate every day for our area of Brighton never ceases to amaze. It was wonderful to be able to celebrate your achievements and introduce those who may never have met before. As a community, we are stronger when we are connected.” Ty Goddard, Chairman.
At East Brighton Trust, we are excited for what the next few months hold as we enter a new era under the guidance of our newly appointed interim CEO, Gary Pleece. We hope to make Leaders Lunches a regular occurrence, with the next one scheduled for the spring in Whitehawk.
