East Brighton Trust Fund – Impact Report 2024

One of our avenues of funding at East Brighton Trust is our Trust Fund, which was set up at Sussex Community Foundation in March 2016 to provide grants to voluntary or not-for-profit community groups in East Brighton. The focus of the trust fund is on addressing disadvantage in our corner of Brighton (the third most deprived ward in Sussex), and supporting local people via community projects or events.

Since its inception, the East Brighton Trust Fund has provided 395 grants totaling £316,569, and we’re delighted to share that in the past 12 months, the fund has awarded 50 separate grants to the value of £42,988.

With beneficiaries ranging from Circus Starr who share the magical art of circus with those who are disabled, vulnerable, and disadvantaged, to On Your Way who provide job and digital advice to local people living in Moulsecoomb and Bevendean, the breadth of organisations who have benefited over the last year is truly wonderful.

Our thanks go to Sussex Community Foundation for compiling this East Brighton Trust Impact Report 2024 and ensuring funds are distributed seamlessly to those who need it most.

Stay tuned over the coming weeks as we look in depth at the brilliant beneficiaries who do so much for our local community.
